Idelle Newburge
Idelle Newburge is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a National Certified Counselor who has been in private practice in Plantation, Florida for over 25 years. She serves as an officer on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Southeast Florida and is also a trainer and advisor for their Listen to Children Program. Idelle counsels children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, and dually diagnosed disorders. The therapeutic modalities she uses include cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, interpersonal, hypnotherapy, relaxation, and humanistic approaches. Idelle helps her patients identify and explore their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors so that they can learn to address their problems and make healthier choices and decisions. She assists her patients in their handling of relationships, schooling, birthing, working, parenting, aging, loss, death, and dying: basically all of life’s transitions and stages! Idelle continues to be inspired by the power of the human spirit to survive and thrive.
